Is there a grocery store nearby? What's the best way to get to it? Should a person rent a car if staying for a week?
There is a small deli and convenience store @ the resort - but it's pricey! There is a grocery store at the corner of the main entrance street - easy walking distance. I would recommend a car rental to visit the beaches around the island. It was very reasonable compared to other places - but I declined the insurance.
Is the resort & restaurants rebuilt and open for guests?
Yes open for business and running very well
Did the resort. get severely damaged? We are just devastated by the pictures.
There is much damage, but resort is open and lovely. We stayed Jan. 5- 9, 2019 and had a wonderful time! Construction is ongoing. Can't wait to see it all back in working order.
Is there daycare at this resort?
Not that I know, but not sure they have opened yet after the hurricane damage
